It seems like a more restrictive version of SDFL, but I guess I am not seeing the benefit to the user for selecting that license.
Doesn’t seem to be a source for Makerworld Licenses but when publishing a model if you check a radio button saying no to:

The license becomes unavailable for selection, only if you click yes can you use it. It’s pretty opaque as there’s no explanation unless you publish a model, only once published can you see the license info:
Guessing it’s a heavily restricted license where you can literally only PRINT via Makerworld or Bambu Handy, no adaptation!

I am always confused about this stuff, “ You shall not download”? What exactly would I be allowed to do with this?

I can’t say for sure but I would guess that the models in this license category would be exclusive to Bambu Handy, maybe the software nows has restrictions based on this license so you can’t download the files from your sdcard to your computer via the slicer and can only print from the cloud.
As I said before, the walls around the garden just got higher!
I am sure it is something like that. But how does one Use Bambu Handy to print it without allowing Bambu Handy to down load it to the printer?
Sorry, didn’t explain it well, when you print from Bambu handy, your printer gets the sliced gcode from the cloud, you don’t get the 3MF files.
Whether or not that gcode on your printer is protected so you can’t then transfer it from the sdcard and attempt to convert back into an stl I don’t know but sounds like they plan to run some Bambu Handy exclusive models in the near future.
The Bambu Handy app did get a major update yesterday, maybe it wasn’t just a reskin and there’s some Enshitification going on in the back end…
I understood what you were saying. The way I read it, “You shall not download, export, copy, adapt,” seems to cover the G code file.
I don’t really know for sure just making assumptions but you aren’t really downloading the design, you are just requesting a set of mechanical instructions when you click print.
Further it does state: (including - but not limited to - extraction of model data).
I think that excerpt is exclusive to this license and prohibits what I mentioned earlier, trying to extract the model data by converting g-code back into a 3d file format like an STL.
There’s a SDFL-C community use which allows derivatives of Makerworld Exclusives as long as they stay exclusive to Makerworld end any such derivatives are licensed the same it doesn’t have the above mentioned restriction:
Could be linked to their crowdfunding side, this way they can grant you a license to print the files without you getting the RAW files, could be a way for late backers to buy in but getting less as a result of not being there from the start
The downside to this is i can’t then use my preferred print profile settings for things like speeds, which basically means i would never print anything with this license on it
I think that license is kind of pointless but I see how if you were entering a contest you nobody can copy your model because the cant download only print directly
