Printer was still working normally yesterday, then it randomly ran into an issue of the hotend overloaded, and the weird sound happened. I thought the hotend was clogged, so I did cold pull, disassembled the gear, took some debris out, the sound still happens, and it happens as soon as i start a new print. I have this printer for only a little over one year, been doing maintenance as required.
Here is a video recording:
Does anyone have some clue what’s going on, how to fix it? Is this a problem with the fan? The transformer?
Sounds like a fan with something partially caught in it.
Thank you. I peeled off the cooling fan and took a look, didn’t see anything. After I put it back the noisy sound is gone, but there is another sound that seems to have something to do with the gear.
It happens whenever the gear tries to pull in or out a filament, for both hotends. Do you have a clue what this is?
Sounds like R2D2 lol. Sorry, no clue other than something to do with the filament path. Stepper motor maybe, not sure. Might be time to open a support ticket unless someone else has had this issue.
