What is your plans with this?

I voted staying with the A1. It just works. And honestly, coming from an Ender 3 and then a Prusa, cable protection is like the very first things you print as that is a common failure point. I’m surprised Bambu didn’t catch it or engineer a robust solution, but honestly it’s no worse a problem than other 3D printers that don’t come with good cable protection. I always ensure sufficient clearance for cables to move during prints, it’s a good practice even after Bambu issues a replacement

If the cable is the issue why is the replacement part the bed and cable?

I assume they decided that it would be too difficult to unplug the other side of the cable that is attached to the inside of the heatbed.

The new cable may be entirely different and not fit in the groove it runs in currently.

BL targets people who want to 3D print, not 3D printers. And there’s basically no competition right now, not even Prusa offers a similar UX

i loved my A1 but opted to return and will swap for the p1s, mainly because I liked the convenience of having 4 filaments loaded, not necessary for multi colour prints just for easy swapping, but did find after a week of not using a filament it would go brittle and break at the entry point, so i like the thought of the self contained full AMS if it maintains some temperature control

Both? I’m staying with A1, but purchased an A1 mini to hold me over till I get my new heatbed
