There is some new kind of “poll” in this thread, someone asked “Would YOU buy the H2D again”, and there are little mini arguments going on about people’s answers and if they are legitimate or not. And there are some kind of “votes” about the answers which re-orders the replies? How can people be voting on the the validity of an answer to “would YOU do X”?
W T F ?
Stop this now. Bambu Lab if you are trying to turn the forum into Facebook, you are winning. Yay you.
Well, first they’d have to co-operate with and take direction from various domestic and foreign intelligence and enforcement agencies regarding narrative control, including censorship of certain factual data and opinions…
Which is the opposite of what’s happening here - people are just discussing pros, cons and reasoning behind getting an H2D or not based on what they know now after owning one…
I didn’t really understand it myself — and I’m the author of the original post — what the purpose of this type of thread is. To be honest, I created that topic with the intention of making a poll, but unfortunately it ended up becoming what everyone can now see, and in my opinion it doesn’t make much sense…
Yeah exactly. Lets not blame bambulab for some feature a forum software added that some user or moderator decided to enable or disable or whatever. Come on now.
Lets focus on makerworld . I think we BADKY need comments On the crowdfunding pages of projects people make so we can actually have a discussion and help these new projects…its a shame they dint have makerworld comments on the new crowdfunding page…also there should be a sort of airbnb for 3d prunyerd amd etsy type thingy oh boy would it be so swell…to jave marketplace ane print farms and crowdfunding projects and ability ro select others users to noninate them to solve a problem for pay etc … oh it will help us organize each ither and find what we are all good at doing… so many great company groups can be formed over makerworld with all the people who design and make so many great items together… we are so close to doing so much more…we jjst need some great project managers and some lists of items and products that we actually need to make. So many potential items to start docusing makerworld creators on. And we need a system to auto access and offer FAIR realistic prices for licenses and royalty deals for stubborn creators who say no to licensing and reselling designs etc. We need to really have a whole system going thats like …the existing kick starter thing… now also buy meshy.ai or partner with them… and something like tinkercad … make a whole 3d printing ai cad wizard app…all inqide the bambu handy app actually it has to be… that plugs in to your banbu studio slicer… oh man so the banbu studio and the mobile app will have the PROJECTS tab be expanded to include crowdfunding… and youll have the ability to have a proposal system and add workers from makerworld creatoes as recipients of percentages of the crowdfunding… we will allow random users who have done ratings to do testing… we will send out fimament and gift cards have people setting up print farms in every city from existing bambu users… theyll evej assemble stuff and well hqve people with various skills on a little peofile showing what theyve built and what theyve designed what theyvr assembled and packaged and shipped… for otherd or themselves… so we will have an online store like etsy built into the app… and local storefronts too for local pickup and delivery … man it coukd all be amazing
Many forums allow users to create “survey” threads where people can vote on whatever the subject matter is. Not unique to this forum in any way. Nothing wrong with the OP’s intent to get some quantitative data from people’s responses. But yeah, these kinds of threads often devolve in to plain old commentary and the voting thing gets forgotten.
But you don’t have to vote to read the thread. And sometimes seeing how people have voted is actually informative.
We really need comments on the crowdfunding pages of projects people create on MakerWorld. This would allow for discussion and collaboration, which could help these new projects grow. It’s a shame they don’t have comments on the new crowdfunding page.
I also think there should be a system similar to Airbnb for 3D printers and something like Etsy. It would be amazing to have a marketplace, print farms, and crowdfunding projects all in one place. We could also have the ability to nominate other users to solve problems for payment. This would help us organize and discover what we’re all good at. So many great companies could be formed on MakerWorld with all the people who design and make amazing items together. We are so close to doing so much more. We just need some great project managers and lists of products that people actually need. There is so much potential to focus MakerWorld creators on.
Additionally, we need a system to automatically assess and offer fair, realistic prices for licenses and royalty deals for creators who are hesitant to license or resell their designs. We really need to build a whole system that’s like the existing Kickstarter platform.
Furthermore, Bambu Lab should consider buying or partnering with meshy.ai and a platform like Tinkercad to create a 3D printing AI CAD wizard app. This should be integrated into the Bambu Handy app and plug directly into the Bambu Studio slicer. The “Projects” tab in both Bambu Studio and the mobile app could be expanded to include crowdfunding. You’d have a proposal system and could add workers from MakerWorld as recipients of a percentage of the crowdfunding funds.
We could also allow random users who have done ratings to participate in testing. We could send out filament and gift cards, and have people setting up print farms in every city using their existing Bambu Lab printers. They could even offer assembly services. People could have a profile showing their skills—what they’ve built, designed, assembled, packaged, and shipped, either for others or for themselves. This would allow us to have an online store like Etsy built right into the app, with local storefronts for local pickup and delivery. It could all be amazing.
I saw the up and down thing and assumed it was for people to vote on the responses and it would elevate them or bring them downward. If that is what it does I personally don’t like the thread voting system. It was first put into reddit as a karma system as a method of combatting abuse, trolls, and spam but over time it has become a way for people to place a value on posts so much that some people seriously think that if it is a disagreement button! There are people who seriously see it and think it’s whether you agree or not with a post. That’s ridiculous and being intolerant of other peoples opinions and views.
So why does Reddit continue to allow it to happen and not offer to educate people on how the KARMA system works? Well my only guess has been that it is because they benefit from the information mining that the voting provides. In other words for money. As long as Reddit is able to profit from the voting system and their ads they have no want to rectify the situation. And so people get downvoted for the dumbest things and there posts become hidden.
I totally don’t understand your frustration and the wording of your post.
It’s their website. They definitely can add whatever the feature they want to add. Especially a very reasonable feature of allowing people to upvote or downvote things. It’s quite useful for arguments. And you’re probably the only 1 or 2 users complaining about this one specific feature, making extremely arbitrary arguments…
Arguments? Um, really? Feel free to expand on that one, I’m curious as to how it would be useful for arguments. I’m looking now on quora and stackexchange, don’t see many arguments, but I am interested in how you envision it would be useful.
And go on to explain how it was useful for a thread titled "Would YOU buy the H2D again?”
I had no intention of creating a fake poll. As I already explained — and I’ve apologized — I didn’t do it on purpose, it was my mistake. If I could delete the topic, I would, but I can’t.
I really don’t understand all this hostility. Go make yourself a tea and print something satisfying — believe me, it’ll be much better for you and for anyone reading the forum.
