My A1 came with a sheet of decals, are these to be used on my prints or are they meant to be placed on the A1 itself?
If B, is there a placement layout somewhere?

From my understanding, they can be used as per user preferences.
On a desk, phone, door, car, print, …
or,
if you are really daring:
put the entire decal sheet in a childs hands 
Just do not put them on the printers camera, build plate, air circulation holes, fan intakes, connectors, rails or lead screws

I assume we are talking about these.
I went from being disappointed I had not received any to releasing a set came in each of my four P1S printer boxes, one set in every CyberBrick kit (I have loads) and Bambu Lab sent me some along with done other stuff for the brief moment in time they were not slagging me off or burying my model catalog so others can’t find my models (suppressing them).
Now I have enough to start up a shop.
I like the idea of letting kids go wild as suggested by @EnoTheThracian, you will be finding them where you would never want them and for years to come.
They are stickers, they do not need to go on anything.

Wes, those stickers. I thought they were to be put in the Bambu Lap Printer. I will give them to my kid with instructions to put them on Mom’s car.
THAT will make her happy.
