When Switching Printers Objects Reorganize to Other Plates (H2D to P2S)

I use several Bambu printers when I am prototyping a model with multiple objects on multiple plates. I wish to keep the objects assigned to the plate that I arrange them onto. However, the problem that I run into is that Bambu Studio reorganizes the parts when I switch printers especially when don’t fit the area of the next printer plate. Parts get assigned onto many other plates where there is still room on that plate. This happens a lot when I go from a larger plate (H2D) to a smaller plate (P2S). When this happens, it can’t be undone and I have to reorganize everything.

Is there a way to keep objects in their position regardless of whether the plate is large enough for them when I switch from a H2D to a P2S. Having them hang off plate is fine. I know if I keep the objects limited to the smaller plate size and go from the P2S to the H2D, everything is fine.

I welcome suggestions. Thanks

Try to group or assemble them per plate before switching.

Yes, grouping will work to keep the objects together but when you ungroup them the separate parts for each object drop down to the bed plate.
