I’ve been patiently waiting for the exhaust kit to be in stock and even signed up for alerts but no luck. People are scalping these things on Amazon. I just saw someone is charging a hundred dollars for the fan and back cover. I don’t want to pay scalpers for it.
Bought mine on Aliexpress, appeared genuine and works fine…
except for when you need (like/want) the back cover
What price? Is it identical to the original? Can you send the link please?
I just bought the fan, pcb and cable, Set A in the link below, it looks like genuine and works fine.
As the whole of the back of the inside of the rear cover is one area I didn’t bother with the new rear cover and I haven’t used the parts designed by BL as I take a pipe from the vent by the pcb to a fairly large hepa/carbon filter, the air is then pulled by the fan controlled by the printer, that pushes the filtered air back into the poop shoot. Almost a closed loop if you like as I can’t get a pipe to an external wall to vent and I didn’t want to loose heat from the enclosure when printing engineering filaments.
Official Original For Bambu Lab P2S External exhaust fan kit [For P2S] 3D printer accessory - AliExpress 7
It’s beginning to look like we may never be able to buy them directly from Bambu. The scalpers are buying stock as soon as it appears. Shipping is outrageous, and discounts can be misleading. I started to order one, but the final price turned out to be over $60. More than 3 times the original price.
As of right now, the exhaust kits are in stock at Bambu! I just ordered one. Will let you know when it comes.
And now they’re out of stock again. I never got a notice they were back in stock. I just happened to check at the right time and got one ordered, plus a few PETG spools. Lets see how fast it ships.
Just found the box that the buffer came in while I was looking for something else!
Looks genuine to me of if it a fake its a good one, as I said mine works perfectly are was cheaper than BL were selling them at the time.
I already lost my patience, and i ordered it on Aliexpress. Sorry @BambuLab , if you want customers you should have a decent amount of products.
Or perhaps the root of the problem is there are too many customers who all want something at the same time.
I actually got the notification that they were in stock a couple days ago, put it in my shopping cart and was looking around for a couple other things to add and then it went out of stock while I was browsing and it said my shopping cart was invalid, grr.
Perhaps with the low cost and potential for a fair return, it’s worth sites like Temu, Ali Express, Amazon sellers to buy these up and flip them for a few extra bucks. Maybe they’re even drop shipping them. I saw on Temu though someone posted an image of the back cover they received and it was like a crumpled up sheet of paper.
They came in for a day last week and ran out the same day, I managed to get one as I was checking the site multiple times each day and got lucky I guess. Don’t rely on email notifications as they arrive a good time after they are in stock!
So, I received mine, ordered directly from Bambu, on Friday. Got it installed plus added carbon & hepa filters. Seems to work pretty well.
With PLA, it’s pretty loud as it exhausts at full speed, but it reduces the PLA smell a lot.
With high temp material, PETG, ASA, PC, etc., it doesn’t run at all by default but you can set it from the printer, B-studio, or B-handy. Seems to work great at 30% with very little noise. I printed a 30 minute ASA part where the printer was in a closed off room; at the end of the print when I entered the room I could not smell the styrene at all so that’s pretty good! I could smell it, though, when I opened up the printer. It helps to add post-print filtering, but I use the internal filter for that.
Incidentally, I also have a sealed poop bucket as it would be a waste of time filtering air inside the printer while ejecting steaming piles of poop to the outside!
I wish I had an air quality monitor for more definitive measurements. Maybe soon.
Im lucky i just ordered mine
Can soene withe the external ventialtion tell me how many more in or cm I need to extenrally vent P2S vs P1S? I have wall behind the printer, External Exhaust kit seem to add quite a lot of of space/distance? Do I need the same space like with P1S or more?
Where the heck do you get the actual filters? These are completely pointless without the filter and Bambu has not had them in stock yet. AliExpress has them for double the cost. Now with the X2D out I’m thinking they hoarded all the filters for those printers and screw the P2S customers? How can AliExpress have thousands of these and Bambu has zero? And zero on Temu so must be some kind of ban on them there.
I printed one of the carbon filter cases and ordered carbon media from VoxelPLA.
Then I printed a hepa filter to go on the outside, and used hepa13 filters, also from VoxelPLA.
