Opened the door of my printer to take out a print and I found this small rubber component on the floor of the printer. I raised a support ticket and am waiting on response. Anyone know where its from?
Maybe the cover where the PTFE tube enters into the printhead? Or maybe buffer?
Or else maybe something having to do with either tube management and/or wire management?
Admittedly, in neither case can I see how it would just “fall off” without remaining bound, unless maybe it wasn’t installed correctly in the first place. Maybe it was an extra that fell in unnoticed during manufacturing and it simply took this long for it to fall out.
If another 5 people make different guesses, probably one of us will be a match.
Or how about this? Most likely: it’s a grommet for a pass-through into the sheet metal to keep wires from chaffing? Although, again, I can’t see how it wouldn’t still be bound. Maybe it was put there for a different model (like the lasers maybe), , but you have a model that never had the pass-throughs pass through?

The grommet on the PTFE tube brackets on the cable chain.
You’re the second person I have seen post a picture of that part. I don’t remember who first identified it, but it fits into one of the PTFE clips on the cable chain. It should slip right back in.
But if it’s about an H2D, why is there only one PFTE tube?
I was feeding 60A TPU directly into the right nozzle when this was taken, so I had removed the right ptfe tube.
