I’m strongly considering a move back to Linux and one of the dealbreakers for me will be Bambu Studio support. While I could have a separate mini computer dedicated solely to Windows for Bambu Studio, I’d really prefer not to.
I know it’s source-available and that there are official builds for Fedora and Ubuntu, but I haven’t looked around for unofficial builds. In case it’s a factor, I use an H2D.
Is there anything I should be aware of about Linux support for Bambu Studio?
There is an version for Mint available in Programs…just do a search for Bambu.
It works fine on my laptop.
Orca Slicer works just fine on Linux. Works well for my X1C AND P1S too. And I don’t have to worry about BBL deciding that maybe my system needs to be more secure and ‘selective’… or is that exclusive 
I have been running Bambu Studio using the Mint flatpack in the software manager, and it works well, but the version is older and does not offer support for the new X2D. I have been looking for a way to download the latest .deb version because I am tired of being stuck on 2.5.0.66 when 2.5.3 is out.
What’s the rush?
My Mint system updated to the Studio 2.5.3 flatpack today.
GitHub shows Ubuntu and Fedora appimages were posted 14 hours ago, or about 11 hours before your post.
The Mac and Windows versions have only been out for one day.
Thanks for the information. The rush is the need to test the 235mm limitation of the X2D buildplate size versus things I print regularly and the descision, or not, to buy the X2D. I looked for the Mint software update earlier this morning and did not have it, hence my question. Thanks again.
