Which hot end comes installed

Hello,

Recently received an X1C pro engineering bundle. The bundle is no longer on the site, so I can’t re-read the description. If I recall correctly, the printer was supposed to come with a .6 and .4 and the .6 was pre-installed, but now I can’t remember. I have a spare .4 in the packaging, so if it in fact comes with .6 and .4, I guess deductive reasoning would solve this mystery.

Any way to tell without disassembly? My micrometer is analog, so measuring the poop would be pretty tough to discern from .4 to .6.

Anyone buy one of these combos that knows what came pre-installed?

The size is labelled on the nozzle. You shouldn’t have to take it out to see.

Open up the head and take a look.

At most you might have to take out two screws to get view of the labelled side. I am not near mine to confirm, but I have swapped nozzles a few times. It was stressful the first time, but easy after that.

The front cover is held with magnets, just pull it off the head. The size is marked on the left side of the nozzle.

This is what I ended up doing. They gave me two .4 hot ends. Not sure why…

The 0.4 nozzle is standard on the X1C. I do not know what Bambu is shipping these days, but when I bought mine (January, 2023), another 0.4 nozzle was included in the accessories box with other spare parts.

I would expect any extra items in a temporary “bundle” would be packaged and shipped separately.
