Which printer has the best surface quality?

For printing silk filaments with a smooth surface, for example.

I’m guessing the Qidi Plus 4, how does it compare to the H2D? Or the U1?

I just ran across the Q2, that looks like a likely contender also, does anyone have one?

I’ve got a Q1 Pro, of all of my other printers that and the Bambu’s are the only ones where everything “just worked”.

I was gonna say the plus 4. Another good one is the centauri carbon. Otherwise, the highest quality ive seen has come from voron and ratrig, but both are kits.

Its looking like the U1 will also be really good on quality.

Testing the bare Q2 now. For a pure klipper printer, it is very nice, maybe the best. On an absolute scale for polish and experience with Bambu being a 9.5, it’s an 8 or 8.25, so extremely good, they shouldn’t have any problem getting it up to 8.5.

Just been printing pre-sliced benchies on it so far, but I’ll try a silk robo-alpaca on it tomorrow.

Only flaws so far are that the lid is very close to the head so it causes a sharp bend in the tubing and the handle on the glass catches on it sometimes (yes from the inside).
