Why do I need to reassign my printer when I start Bambu Studio?

Just about every time I start Bambu Studio it comes up with no printer selected.

I’m forced to reenter the IP address, Access Code, serial number, and select X2D from a drop down list.

I’m on LAN ONLY mode and there is only one printer and the wireless router, printer, and computer are in the same room.

A similar issue is discussed in LAN Only mode won’t stay connected, without a resolution. With my set-up it seems that power-cycling either the computer or the printer results in having to re-pair the two devices having generated a new pairing code on the printer.

My “No Printer”, LAN-only problem was fixed by OrcaSlicer in January 2025.

Bambu could fix the issue if they wanted to.

Thanks. It’s a bit of an annoyance, so I put labels on my laptop to make it easier to reconnect, but this is a new problem that I did not have with my X1C and Orca. Hopefully it will get ironed out in time.
