I don’t understand why, lately, every print I send to my X1C and H2D also gets saved in the printer’s storage and stays there. I clearly remember that this didn’t happen before.
Since there’s an option in Bambu Studio that specifically lets you choose whether to save data to the printer’s storage — and considering I have that option disabled — I’m wondering if this behavior is intentional or a bug.
Personally, I prefer that only the files I choose remain in the storage.

If you choose to format the SD card all the stored files will go away. Too bad there isn’t a TRASH option when you select a file.

Look on the SD card. I think the same file can be found in two places. One place is the file that the printer needs to make the print and the other file is like a backup. If the box is not checked, i don’t think the file will appear in the backup folder. Just my humble opinion. I am as clueless as you when it comes to why bambu does things.
Isn’t this related to letting you reprint directly from the printer?
Yes, that would make sense — but before, as soon as you printed something different, the previous model was automatically deleted. Now I end up with the storage full of models, and I have to delete them one by one. I don’t want to format it because I keep some pre-sliced files ready for work.
I’m seeing the same issue.
I reported it as a bug a couple of months ago and they confirmed it, but nothing has changed.
It’s frustrating having to clear out a pile of files every few days.
