Why does Bambu Studio not save custom filament settings?

I have a Microiswiss Flow Tech harden hotend that requires Long retraction when cut toggled OFF but, with every new print, these settings always goes back to the default toggled ON. (See attached BBS and MS slicer settings)

What am I doing wrong when saving custom presets?

Hi Ga,

I’m not sure this is the issue, but just to clarify…

The checkboxes on the left, the ones the arrows are pointing to, enable or disable overriding the setting. The setting itself, what value to use for the override, is on the right side. Once those are checked, then un-check the green checkbox (or edit the distance value). It should then remember the custom settings once saved.

However I’m not sure why those left-side boxes would continue to show up as being checked if you saved the profile again after unchecking them (even if that wasn’t the the desired action). That seems odd.

Nowhere in “adding a new filament” preset can changes be made for filament temp, bed temp or toggling off Long retraction when cut, etc. These can be set and renamed as a new setting in Project Filaments and they are good until starting a new project. When selecting your custom filament for new print the adjusted custom settings must be reworked.

I have noticed that if I uncheck this, save it, restart, that setting is checked again.
This only happens with custom PLAs for some reason.
I can look at the file timestamp (Windows) and it has been saved but in the filament setting dialog, even after saving, the file name still shows a star next to it.

I have a long opened support ticket that has not been resolved with this.
