I have sliced a model with H2D and A1 and the H2D uses more than twice the filament. It is actually using almost the same amount of filament for the model (118.45g) as it uses for the Prime Tower (113.49g). Am I doing something wrong with the settings?
Look at the width and you’ll find the answer you seek.
Thanks for replying.
I saw the width difference and changed it but that just increased the other dimension. I think it might have something to do with the prime volume but I’m not sure and I didn’t want to mess around with that.
I unchecked the Rib Wall which allowed me to change the width but that just ended up with a deeper tower of the same volume.
Check your settings. See if you are using the purge for supports and/or infill. Should be in the flush settings just under what you showed. Also may have some setting to purge more between color changes.
Thanks for the suggestions, I checked and that doesn’t seem to be the case. I redownloaded the model and the prime tower now seems to be back to normal so I can only assume that I inadvertently change one setting or another that caused the change. Still don’t know what I did but since it’s back to normal I’ll move on.
Thanks again your everyone’s suggestions.
