Why does the H2D Pro have different firmware than the H2D?

The latest H2D firmware is 01.03 while the latest H2D Pro firmware is 01.02. Why would the H2D Pro lag in firmware releases when the two lines are nearly identical? When I bought the H2D Pro, I thought it would be treated as a flagship product, and with the H2C release, I understand it’s not “top dog” any more, but it doesn’t seem right that customers who bought the highest end Bambu product (at the time) are getting their firmware upgrades delayed for what seems like an unnecessary segregation.

There is additional frustration added now, since the Bambu site has release notes for the H2D Pro 01.02 firmware, but no link to offline download it.

(As a side note, I downloaded the 01.03 H2D firmware, and my H2D Pro would not recognize it as an offline update, although an 01.01 H2D Pro firmware [the only one available for offline download] was recognized on the same USB drive)

The version numbering does not mean anything and in your case H2D Pro firmware 1.02 has the same features as H2D firmware 1.03 so essentially the same firmware despite the different version number

It unfortunately needs to be certified. The cost of being “Pro” is that, safety comes first, and each firmware require multiple certifications to be done, which cost money and time.
Same reason that X1E firmware was lagging behind. However they are doing slightly better this time with H2D Pro, with no features leaving behind too long.

I just tried to chat about the missing download, 99% sure that was a bot pretending to be a human.
Not a good experience.

Download for version 01.01.01.00 is missing as well.

I opened a ticket, maybe that will penetrate the helpless AI layer.

If anybody here can ping the responsible people or provide a download, that would be nice.

Offline firmware links are usually published about 1–2 weeks after the firmware release. This is because our team still needs time for offline package preparation and publishing procedures after the firmware goes live.

We sincerely apologize that version 01.01.01.00 does not have an offline package. Not every firmware version is published as an offline package on the official website. Version 01.01.01.00 was not included in the offline publication plan.

At this moment, we’re unable to provide an exact date, and we apologize for that. We expect the offline link for 01.02.00.00 to be available in the next few days.
