I’ve noticed time after time, that my H2D is significantly faster than my H2C on the same print. The slice is wildly different. Same nozzle diameter. Same filament. Here is a divided tray sent to both at the same time. Seconds apart. The H2D is predicted to be an hour quicker on a 6.5 hour print, and the print is noticeably ahead of the H2C. Even the feed speed is visibly faster on the H2D. All I did was change the printer and send.
No idea other than it’s perhaps the way it handles the models? There are seven nozzles as opposed to two? Not sure. I do have the same setup - an H2D sitting next to an H2C. I haven’t concerned myself with speed as I do this for fun and not for profit. I’ve never really watched or noted that one was faster or slower as they are usually printing very different projects. I’ll keep an eye on them over the next bit to see what I might see.
For a 6.5 hour print, an hour is not something anyone should overlook. Something is amiss.
Are they both using either standard or high flow nozzles? In my experience they pretty much have the same times if they are using the same filament and nozzle and the settings also match - if you have tweaked the profile in bambu studio those might not be crossing when you change the printer, when changing the printer it usually then loads the default settings and you have to make the changes again
When you change printer in bambu, it changes the entire print process profile to the new one. So you didn’t “just change printer” you changed print profile too ![]()

When using the same preset profiles I get the same times, however the H2C has a extra .20 High Quality profile if selected takes about 1 hr longer and the test box I just sliced to test this.
If I slice with H2C .20 High Quality for the H2C, then switch to the H2D and slice again it switches to the standard .20 Standard Quality profile, which takes about 1hr longer to print on the test box.
I had this before and it turned out when I swapped printers, it was choosing a filament profile that was different on the h2c compared to my h2s and was way faster for some reason. It was printing speed that had changed, but they were different!
Could it also be that your H2D is using Bambu filament profile and the H2C is using Generic?
This would change the Max Volumetric Rate from 25 to 12 and would affect speed.
