I’m very new so there might be some noob questions.
Question 1: I got a diglett stl from makerworld and emptied the inside fill, printed it and the top doesn’t fully complete. I then sliced it in half and printed it separately but still the top portion and some areas like the top and bottom of the nose and tops of the rocks are not fully filled. I then noticed that even when i slice it, it shows the areas are not fully completely filled. I tried changing the layers to 7 or 8 from 2 but it looks like it builds inside the outer wall which is not ideal because i need it to be hollow. Is there any way to fix this? i tried addding support but it didn’t help. With manual support, the supports didn’t go in the inside but it thought i wanted it on the wall and not on the top of the sphere. **Note: this happens regardless of the size of the print. I think it’s just simply missing fill between the lines. The person that created the stl i’m guessing was depending on the inside fill to complete it.
question 2: When you slice an object, it creates a wall where connecters can be placed, is there a way to remove the whole wall and make it be just a shell with the cut part not having anything at all? so for eg. if a sphere is cut in half, then it’d make 2 bowls. I tried laying the piece sideways where the cut can be moved below the build plate which removes the cut but the top portion of the object didn’t complete.
question 3: how do i create support inside a hollow object?
