Why no reviews in BambuStudio on Mac?

Not sure if we’re missing something obvious here, but in the Mac version of BambuStudio, we can’t seem to actually read model reviews/comments when browsing online models from MakerWorld.

We can see the stats like downloads, boosts, print count, star rating, and total review count, but we can’t see the actual written reviews themselves. The only way we’ve found to read comments is to open the model in MakerWorld through a web browser.

Reviews are one of the most important parts of deciding whether to print something, especially for catching issues that could waste filament or time.

Is this currently just not supported in the Mac app, or are we overlooking where the comments are supposed to appear?

It feels odd that MakerWorld reviews are available on the web but not inside the BambuStudio desktop Mac app.

I am a MacAir user and have been running Bambu Studio since day one (about a year and a half), On an older MacAir running BigSur 11/.17.10. I also am running Handy on my older XR iPhone. I really have had NO problems with the software connection to my A1/combo. I feel really bad for those Windows’ users with all the posting here, and I am guessing that the reason you don’t see a lot of Mac users posting is because, like me, they are not having issues. Also, I am not a prower user, this is a hobby for me and I am enjoying it because the printer and software all just worked from the very beginning. It does what I need it to do and it does it very well. I am on this forum almost every day so would have seen if Mac users are have problems. Also, I am not a designer, so I want to extent a big THANK YOU to all of you that are and willing to share your design and files with me.

To reiterate, our question is not about overall connectivity or slicer function, etc. This is specifically about not being able to see user reviews for the 3D designs/models in MakerWorld on the Mac version of BambuStudio. It seems like an odd functionality to leave out.

Sorry I miss understood your post.

It is funny to see that one user posts about being limited on the MAC version and not understanding why, and that the only response comes from a MAC user who says they feel sorry for PC users because everything works so great and flawlessly on the MAC. Mac users really are peculiar people, you know.

But, having said that, I also don’t understand why this limitation is in the MAC version. I actually find it a bit strange and unfair, because then reviews mean more or less depending on the platform you use.

This is generally true of Bambu Studio regardless of platform. One has to go to MakerWorld to get full model information.
