58 points but zero points from most downloaded model.
Trickling in here too, but looks to be done as of about 22:04 UTC. Points came in for models and profiles, for both global and CN sites. Haven’t done comparison math vs. my previously typical points-per-day yet.
Are we specifically cutting off the number of points we’re getting in those screenshots or is it buggy cropping?
-
Average Print profiles that we’re getting 3.75 are still getting 3.75
-
One of my established models that was getting 6.75 for a profile is now getting 7.5 (11%)
-
One and f my featured models that was getting 18.75 for a milestone of 100 (roughly 1800 last time) is now getting 25 per whatever the new hidden bracket is (33%, but I don’t know if the bracket has changed from 100)
-
Another more recent model but still pretty average was getting 18.75 and is still getting 18.75
-
None of my models that were receiving 37.5 per milestone seem to have triggered yesterday
Seeing points. Without doing any math it seems relatively on par with what I’ve been seeing.
Tomorrow we’ll be a better indicator for me presumably. I have a relatively complex contest entry submitted on day one of the changeover. It’ll be interesting to track that model and see goes it does.
Points just showed up.
One of which was shown as earned today, and the rest were earned yesterday.
Are we in arrears by a day (excluding the errant one)?
When was that communicated?
One of my models that should earn 37.5 did for yesterday, but it showed up as earned today at 18.75.
So one at one rate and one at half that rate.
With the 18.75 dated today, unlike all the others, will there be another tomorrow to make up the balance?
Far too much unknown.
I got 0 pts yesterday and 3 points from the CN site today. I have been averaging enough points for a gift card (490 pts) every 10-11 days for the last couple of months. I was averaging a gift card per week from the first of the year through March.
The thing I find most annoying is the lack of transparency. The old system was very straightforward. If people downloaded and printed your models, you got points. Now, who knows?
Here’s a quick comparison:
This is a previous ‘milestone’ earning:
And here’s the new earning:
So looks like for the downloads milestone, the new formula likely gives the same at max value (unless this model isn’t complex enough or my reputation is ‘low’ but I don’t think that last one is it).
The other values look about the same, but comparison will be tough until we have more days and data. It is tougher to see how we’re earning though, without milestones.
Curious if that model was part of featured or model winner?
i got 25 ish points which is about my average right now.
I got about 20 less than expected. Seems like they reduced the points for lower download models
I have a least one with 45
fwiw…this model was in the +15 phase just prior to the change so maybe it’s counting 3 instances of passing milestones?
If you mean my model from the pics, it’s this one: Racer Tank Mech - Model Kit by Kit Crafters MakerWorld: Download Free 3D Models
Not featured or a contest winner; I’m looking through other models of mine and the points for the popular ones are all 37.5. The other ones seem a bit varying:
My current guess is this difference in points is related to the previous milestone rewards where you earn less for more popular models (and also earn in smaller divisions earlier on)
Points received, in a week or 15 days we will be able to compare better. Right now, I am unable to see or understand the difference, if there is one.
Checking my points…
This is what I’ve noticed as well. I had a model that I know had hit a milestone so I was interested to see what the difference would be and it’s exactly the same.
Old
New
Surpassing two download milestones, the points add up, or so it seems.
I am at 3.75 today, so I have nothing to say for now. And it was happened before, because I don’t have much models yet to reach milestones constantly. But, as I see from your posts - for now, everything looks fine! Still not clear, but pressure is reduced in the air) Good sign for me)
Absolutely. Imagine MW is a special store where vendors bring in their products to sell and the store gives vendors “money” if their stuff sell. Let’s say John brings in packs of chewing gums and Jane brings in boxes of handcrafted chocolates. The current reward system is like the store gives John one dollar for each pack of chewing gums sold while also gives Jane one dollar for each box of chocolates sold. John loves it but it’s unfair for Jane.
What this upgrade tries to do is to give John less than one dollar while gives Jane more than one dollar, to better reflect the value of goods they brought into the store.
I wonder if this is what happened with the one from @planes01 ?
