I do not understand why for exclusive points you have a minimum redemption amount of 100 USD.
I think it’s fair. There is an overhead cost to them to process all of those requests. Plus small amounts would result in a higher percentage of the request going to the processing fee by the 3rd party provider. Also, there is already a $40 minimum for gift cards so this really isn’t all that different other than the amount.
because some people tried to gain the system by doing multiple accounts and fake uploads or stealing models, so the system verify your status before you can redeem imo
I, on the other hand, think the maximum is weird… Wouldn’t it save time for their reviewers if they have a bigger cap?
the maximum is to prevent the extra paper work, in some countries there is a limit till you have to submit legal paperwork, proof of funds, security checks…etc
at that point makerworld will have extra work to do.
plus imagine someone withdrawing a 10k or 50k at once…lol makerworld is not a bank to have that amount ready to transfer, i see that 1k is reasonable and so generous from them to give per transaction.
Well they have the 5k monthly maximum and presumably you can do 5x 1k transactions within a few minutes… but yeah maybe exceeding 1k triggers some extra paperwork somewhere in the world
For me sometimes I just want to redeem a little money for a pop(ex. buying a roll of filament or some accessories), and I don’t like waiting for the $100 thing. I earn points really slow and it takes months for me to get the $100. If the limit was smaller I could cash for example $8 in quickly.
After having issues receiving my first payment I’m happy I didn’t go all-in and went for the minimum amount. I did receive it in the end but if there was a lot more money on the line I would have felt differently about it. So I think it is also a risk aversion type of thing?
I understand how Bambu doesn’t want to pay out in small increments but having a small payout possible once a year or something might help starting/smaller creators be rewarded as well.
