Wierd Nozzle Wipe Stage

Recently I have notice this wierd behavior during the nozzle wipe stage that happens at the beginning of prints as well as during filament changes on my P1S.

This happens over and over for about 5 ish minutes until it starts printing again. No errors appear in banmbustudio or handy app and it happens when printing files I’ve printed in the past as well as newly sliced ones.

Does anyone know why it’s aggressively moving back and forth like this?

Thanks!

It’s doing the ritual to summon 3D printer god :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Anyhow, my wild guess is the SD card acting up.

Turns out it was a piece of filament poop hiding behind one of the pulleys preventing the y axis from going all the way forwards

This leads me to wonder 2 things:

  1. Why isn’t the printer able to detect the resistance and report it in studio or handy?
  2. Why didn’t the calibration either detect the issue or compensate for it?
