Will Filament track switch work with the H2c

Does anyone know if the filament track switch for the x2d will work for the H2c when the updates come out. Thanks

That’s what it says on the product page if you select the “H2C” option.

Support for the H2C is expected within Q2 2026

And I just asked support and they say that H2C/H2D will have physically different filament track switch (different dimensions) than X2D one.

I hope so. I’d like to have 4 to 2 track switch, with connectors up-down for connect it between printer and AMS, and male-female connectors at front and the back side for simple stackable next filament track switch if I have more than 4 AMSs.

Every track switch can swap filament to the left or right nozzle. So there are 4 inputs from AMS into two tubes - one into left nozzle, one into right nozzle. First filament track switch connected between printer and AMS.

More AMSs? Just click next filament track switch on previous track switch. So I can connect next 4 AMSs to 2 outputs.

There can be 3 track switches with 12 inputs and 3 outputs to left nozzle and 3 outputs to the right nozzle (total).

So we can add 4x AMS/AMS2 and 8 AMS-HT via 3 filament track switches, and we need only 3-1 tube splitter between printer and filament track switches. Less tubes, less cables.

Seems strange that you can select h2c and h2d on the webstore if it’s going to be a different unit? Unless its just out of stock for now.

Even better:

A 4 - 3 track with a splitter on the right nozzle PTFE tube where they FINALLY utilize the mostly unused bypass to have two filaments with one always on deck for color swapping on the vortex. You could cut nozzle change times down considerably if you did that and always the next filament on standby already ready to go for the nozzle change.

BambuLab hast just confirmed, that the hardware of the currently available X2D Filament Track Switch is fully compatible with the H2C/H2D. That’s great news, because I’ve already bought one and designed various mounts for attaching it to the H2 printers.

They posted this statement. The question referred to the H2C, but it will also apply to the H2D.

So what would be the setup for 12 inputs? You think we could run two of them, one left, one right. But this doesn’t really work. Sorry, it’s not really making sense if you are running 24 color’s like I am. The only way I think it would correctly work is if you run one each for the 4 AMS 2’s. Then split the eight HT’s into two of them. I know that there is no way you could run six of these bad boys at once. Now I do understand that you could split all of that into 1 that spits two, left/right hotends. But what’s the point?

It sounds like it will be really nice for the vast majority. Maybe they can figure one out for full color set up’s.

I think you are overthinking this, the purpose of it is to allow any ams connected to be fed into either of the two inputs of the printer, nothing else.

Edit: To clarify - you connect it just before the two inputs into the printer, the number of AMS units before that is not relevant, you still only have two inlets into the printer, this device let you flip them so to speak.

I don’t think I explained myself very well in my last post. Here’s what I was trying to say. I understand the 2 lines in and 2 out. For me it would make more sense if you could have 12 lines in (number of AMS’s is irrelevant) and have the 2 out to the printer. That way you could basically flip flop 12 into any of the two Hotends. I looked last night and found one on makerworld. 12 lines in, changing “any” of them to 2 lines out. My apologies.

Still not exactly sure what you mean, there is no point in switching more then two input tracks as the printer only have two inputs.

To still my curiosity: What exactly did you find on makerworld? :thinking:

The filament track switch makes manual solutions obsolete as track switching is setup in the slicer and managed by the printer during print time.
One with more then 4 inputs might be useful so that you dont have to use more then two 4-in-1 adapters if you have more then 8 ams units in total I suppose, but that would be merely for convenicence and not functionality.

Then I think you have completely misunderstood waht this thing is. It wil allow you to feed any filament from the 24 units you have (the max a H2C can handle) into either the left or right nozzle during print time.

The printer will do this automatically by controlling the filament swicher paths inside the black box. So you can slice a 24 color print using only the left nozzle for example.
