Will H2D side panels with the windows fit the H2S?
I used Bambu’s AI search engine and it said “yes”.
Considering both machines are based on the same platform it’s probably a safe bet but thought I’d ask before placing the order.
I like the idea of being able to see the print from the sides plus it will be more visually appealing.
Anything else to consider? Thanks
You could also probably go with the h2c ones that are a more black color.
I don’t think the H2C’s panels will fit. The RH side may have provisions for the tool changer. The white panels look good to me.
Vector 3D on YouTube took a H2D apart and it was nothing short of “incredible”. The assembly alone must be a major factor in the cost of the unit.
The toolchanger is internal and you don’t need to swap the H2D panels to fit it as you’re changing out for a smaller bed to fit the vortek in

I installed H2C panels on my H2S. So I guess it will also work with H2D panels. I did not try to wire up the lighting of the logos.
I feel you, but i liked the H2D color way better.
Only changed the visible side and also avoided wiring up the LEDs.
Short answer: Yes, H2D side panels with windows will fit an H2S. The two machines are built on the same core frame, so the dimensions and mounting points match. People commonly use the H2D panels on an H2S to get side visibility without any issues.
Just double-check that you’re ordering the correct version (left/right panels, and compatible with your enclosure if you have one), but there shouldn’t be any compatibility surprise.
I just installed side panels from H2D into H2S. Any ideas where to get led’s to lit up “Bambu Lab” logo?
Nevermind, these are just light deflectors it seems, not actual LED’s 
.

It wasn’t hard at all. I have followed BambuLab wiki tutorial.
Just make sure you put the screws in correct places on the rear panel, half of them are for metal thread and others for plastic.
For the record I had no plans on doing this to my H2S. I hate whomever made this thread. I just ordered the panel.
I had no plans either, even regretted purchase of H2D panels… but after fitting them and turning on the printer for the first time after change, I just love it!

Only bought the left side. The right side right beside another printer.
I did something different and almost regret it. I upraded my H2D to H2C and figured I had the money so why not change the side panels as well.
Now that I’ve done it, granted the panels of the H2C are nice in dark grey but the inside is now dark grey obviously and the inside of the printer is now a lot darker… the lights were reflecting nicely on the lighter grey.
The H2C panels will also fit the H2S but my advise is you better go with the H2D panels, you won’t regret it
Also the dark grey panels attract more dust (the printer is in the basement) that the lighter ones or rather, I couldn’t see the dust on the lighter panels. With the H2C panels I need to wipe them when it bothers me and that comes often… 
I would never think of that dark gray panels would deflect less light inside the printer! Thanks for sharing sir 
By the way, how was the vortek upgrade from H2D? I think I will bite the bullet eventually…
I hope I’m not imagining things but you may have notice it coming from a darker H2S although the addition of the glass panels may certainly make the bigger difference.
Vortek upgrade went well and fairly easy. Even coming from a 2-head printer it makes a big difference on multicolor items, no more flushing, it just cuts, retracts the filament in the AMS, pulls new filament from the AMS and print. I rarely made multicolor prints before but now I do a lot more. See this thing doing its job is also amazing.
Too bad I converted a H2D as it makes this H2C VERY costly but upgrading a H2S is really a no brainer, the final cost H2S + upgrade is not too far from the price of a new H2C
