Will H2D work with Orca slicer, or not?

BBS 2.2 did add those Orca calibration options, just not for H2D, prob bc Orca has yet to build them for H2Ds

Ulterior motives behind is possible, but if they can just add it, I don’t think there’s too much conspiracy behind it :man_shrugging: .

imo the Orca vs. BBS wrestling match is kind of rendered moot by the fact that most “participants” probably don’t even touch beyond 15% of the available parameters, everyone’s needs are just different so often times those extra options don’t even make a difference, besides what has already been discussed above. How many of them comb through the changelog?

I think the number of calibration tools (vs. lack of) plays an outsized impact on people’s opinions between these two. Whether these tools produce actual top optimal result is secondary, imo most people justifiably just want a quick path to "remove the unknowns’, to know/feel like they don’t have to sit there manually dialing in settings.
I don’t blame them, for my production filaments, I don’t mind tuning 100s of parameters, but if I’m just poking around with something I barely use, being ready made is a huge plus. In a sense, Orca earned its praise for this.

The same applies to non bambu filaments that actually provide settings/profiles vs. lazy OEMs powered by untrained part time supports.
