Now that MakerWorld has stopped awarding points for print ratings, will users still take the time to do so? There’s no benefit to them.
What do you users/designers think?
Its been gone for a good amount of time for a lot of us.
Be that, I am still giving out rating and I am still getting ratings.

Thanks for this additional information. I hadn’t seen this before. Now I understand the reason for the change regarding rating points. And I understand their reasoning. Now we just need to remove the parasites that shamelessly use other people’s designs. The ultimate example: collecting points and boosts with a Benchy

Missed that too, yes, I’m rating way less… but why the heck not eliminate the extra points for the first ratings and not all ratings? Bambu is tired of giving away profits with points earned. Oh well, their system, their plan
I don’t plan on rating any more models due to this.

Seeing how I don’t make models, point for rating was one of the few ways for me to earn them. Nothing is free in this world. But I can assure you that I will now make sure to give out those 1 star reviews that I haven’t done in the past.

Maybe make some models then. If your hobby is based around some silly points, then there is a bigger problem there.
Of course. How much do you value your labor? Is the pride of contributing to something not good enough for you? Want me to paypal you a few bucks?
What is holding you back? If something is worth 1 star then give it 1 star. Why does the change in the point system change that for you?

Nothing wrong on giving 1 star reviews. People should do it more often. So we can see if its good or bad… But if it is something good/usefull do give it the stars it deserves ;-).
