some kind of notification on windows when the print is finished would be very nice…
My MacBook, iPad, Iphone all alert me when the print is finished, both pop up and sound, including when there is a problem during the print. One would think Windows can do the same.
You have to have studio open in the background to get pop ups
my ipad and iphoen also alert me… but not my windows pc…

yeah but im talking about a real windows notification… or even a real windows pop up system message…
And that would require some sort of app to be constantly running in the background in order to trigger that, in this case you can just leave the slicer open
i have my slicer open! ther is no notification just a pop up inside the slicer wich i dont see when im in another programm…
they need to add it as system alert or whatever so it is a real pop up!
Some apps hide system alerts aswell so you could still miss those, but yeah i don’t think they will add that as it would end up being OS dependant and the slicer is built to work on more than just windows, i believe you can link your phone to windows which might let you get push notifications that way but i doubt the slicer is going to do more than it currently does

what you mean by there are more systems???
there are two systems… .mac and windows… its no problem in both…
Linux also exists and is, afaik also supported, and it would mean them having to implement both of the different methods those OS’s use and update them as required for a feature that, for the majority of users, isn’t really going to end up used because most people are either using handy or close the slicer, which would mean the notifications would never get sent in the first place, i would suggest looking in to the windows phone linking tool as that is likely to be the way forward
The confusion is that you are asking for a feature that already exists…

not sure about this pop up since didnt had this for a long time…is this on windows???
im talking about the finished print message… if u dont have the window of the slicer activ it wont pop up like a normal system notification…
also there is no pop up for finished prints… im working on my computer 12 hours a day and have prints finishing all the time… when the window is minimized u only get those notifcations if u open it back up!
