Hi community ! New here.
I thought I’d start off with a few compaints ![]()
During the assembly of my A1, I ran into 3 problems which, from what I’ve seen on Youtube, are regularly experienced by first time users of the device.
-First, I snagged the Z data cable when assembling the bed and the top part of the printer. Since I didn’t notice, I proceeded to screw the 10 screws and found out later that it had slightly damaged the cable housings. I took everything apart and then take axtra care on second assembly.
This should be stressed out in the booklet.
-Second, when connecting the USB plug under the machine, I somehow didn’t plug it completely, which led to the calibration failing.
This step is a bit tricky and perhaps it would be good to stress that out too.
-Third issue : when I assembled the wiper unit, a little protrusion, got behind the nozzle head, preventing it from sliding.
This caused also issues with the calibration of course.
This should not be allowed to happen “by design”, but at least, a warning on the assembly instructions would have prevented this.
Having to go through these issues kind of ruined the pleasure of setting up my new printer as it got me worried and considering to ship it back where it came from.
Right now, my first print is running smooth and silent, and it looks quite promising.
Cheers !
