Wording of descriptions and tooltips need polish

I’m really enjoying the A1 with AMS but there are some minor grammatical errors lurking in the software which are typical of “cheap” foreign manuals. I feel that these could be fixed in a week by a knowledgeable native English speaker. Some examples below:

Tool tips randomly use or exclude a period at the end of sentences.

Would be smoother and more useful as: “Speed of travel moves, which move the nozzle without extruding. Setting this value lower could reduce issues with crashing into over-extruded surfaces.”

Should be written as “… avoid warping when printing with ABS.”

What is this feature? When I googled it, the sixth result gave me my answer but even linking the patch notes would have been helpful.

Again, these are generally not critical complaints but there are many of them. Bambu has a reputation of perfection to defend, and these mistakes are not often seen in slicers like Cura or PrusaSlicer.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I will forward this to our team for a fix in a future update.

I’ve found the Studio developers to be responsive if I reported awkward or incorrect wording on Github as an Issue.

As a former professional software developer, I can assure you, this is common.

It is rare to have someone on a team that is a native speaker in all languages that are supported.

Even in English only projects, someone with excellent grammar & spelling is rare. Unfortunately, things like tooltips are rarely tested or reviewed.

They should be, do not get me wrong. They are very important, but, their nature of not being fundamental to a the working of a feature means they are often overlooked during reviews.

You are correct to point them out. Even a shabby team doesn’t want their work to look half-baked.
