Yes I would, and did buy a second machine. Both are working great for my uses… I would buy a third, but I really don’t have the room, or the need(would just be a want).
I empathize with those having and have had issues. I do think, as someone mentioned I’m another thread that “the software is behind, in terms of the hardware”, and even from my love of the machines, I can see and feel that… That team(software) for sure needs some extra hands or work hours…
But I keep myself in check when comparing to my P1S machines, that they were much further along when I bought in. But at the same time, I hear and agree with those that feel that “a higher priced machine requires and deserves a bit more white glove experiences” for the purchasers and users…
As you go up the price chain, there is inherently more demand for less trouble, and tighter user experience. Or you’ll find yourself in a bad name situation very quickly. I just think things like the whole drying with the AMS units, and software “niceties” that make Bambu machines “fun and easy” are still lacking on this device.
But again, it suits my purposes. Now is it perfect: no… Even though it (they have) prints great for me, there are things that could and should receive improvements based off it being a tool of convenience…
Yep, just got mine Saturday. Double new AMS 2 model, NON laser (laser is stupid in my opinion, and I own 4 lasers)
Prints great, takes longer to start. (got to tweek that) but prints fine. PETG, PLA are good on gold PEI plate. Bit slower than my X1CC, but that’s ok. Still 10x faster than my prusa ever was. Expensive, but it should do well. Oh, I’m hooked up to a 20 amp breaker, two freezers on the circuit that take roughly 3 amps. And I’ve got it connected through a 6 ft Surge protector that is rates at 1875W. I’ve dried one AMS and run a print for 3 hours yesterday. (pla) Zero issues. And dried both Ams now, no issues. I’ll run ABS so the temp and power will go up, but I don’t anticipate any issue.
I have 2 X1C’s and and a H2D. I’d happily trade both X1C’s for a second H2D. The X1C’s feel like toys in comparrison. I do most of my prototyping on the H2D, and am currently loving printing with ABS-GF, which I’d never do on an X1C due to inadequate filtering of fumes.
I'm loving ABS-GF on the H2D too, just amazing. I'm using the QIDI ABS-GF25.
#2 H2D just arrived. I have a job running or it would be in the process of being set up. I need to pull the workbench out so I have the room to place it and the AMS. I have to unbolt the mill and remove all the cabling first, which is why I need to move the bench. X1C is in place but can’t do anything with it since I don’t have the parts yet, not until Wednesday, was just picked up today.
I think I’d prefer the H2S over the H2D as I don’t print multicolour.
That said, very happy with the H2D I have (apart from the fact that an incorrectly installed waste chute caused a filament clump that tore out the wiring for the left print head - free replacement on the way)
Everyone’s opinion matters, no worries. But think of it like buying a car: would you prefer it running reliably 24/7/365, or having the flashiest features, some not even finished, and waiting 2–3 weeks (or forever) for support? Their hardware is great, no doubt, but support is lacking—maybe because of their DJI ties. I loved my DJI drone, but poor support made me switch to Parrot Anafi, where I get real help, spare parts, and what was promised.
Considering the price, an Ethernet port should have been mandatory — instead, they only put it on the PRO version. Ridiculous.
