Well it sure seems half way there. If I run BS without internet connection i only use apprx 60 to 70% of my laptops cpu to slice a complex project with several color changes i.e. lightbox, signs, art etc.. BUT if my internet is on it uses 90 to 100% of my samsung laptops CPU Its not a lower end gbook either. It does several cad programs without lagging, but slicing chews on the CPU CHOMPS on the CPU with internet connection. So I assume this is the system slicing, anylizing then reporting to BBL servers. CALI, Virginia, NY and more are trying to force these companies to do this with all the systems bc they GOVERMENT wants to monitor and control your prints.
Arenât there standalone versions of BS available in their repository that can run from USB?
I do believe there is a version we run on our pi400
Raspberry Pi runs a version of linux. you may be able to use that adaptation, or using the WINE systems you may be able to get Linux to boot Microsoft version of BS
I donât know if they are but a Chromebook wouldnât be able to run any of them, for example.
Ah, yeah, for systems that there arenât standalone versions compiled for them, web would be the better solution.
