I’m building the Curta Calculator, and wish to print some parts using my AMS in black PLA with White PLA for the lettering.
The upper outer sleeve files include an .STL file along with the graphics in an .SVG file.
when I choose to ‘Add Part / SVG’, and select the ‘upper outer sleeve.svg’ file, then check the ‘Use Surface’ box, the .svg isn’t wrapped around the cylinder. It instead is projected onto the cylinder surface. And, since the length of the .svg file is over twice the diameter of the cylinder, the ends fall off and disappear.
How do I get the .svg to properly wrap around the cylinder rather than being projected onto the cylinder?

I do this in CAD. I tried it once in Studio, though. If I remember correctly, you need to add the SVG as a modifier, not a part. In the modifier settings there’s a “use surface” option that’ll cause the SVG to wrap like you expect. Then, adjust with the depth setting.

I think the problem is that part is too big, so its having issues wrapping it around. Try to break it down into smaller pieces and do them one by one. Also I would add some more depth to it, its only 0.05mm now.

it behaves the same when adding the svg as a modifier. although, as a modifier, it doesn’t show up as text, just some modified setting. Either way, it still behaves the same, projecting onto the surface rather than wrapping around it.
Thanks for the suggestion maxim3D, However, even smaller .svg files seem to behave the same way. It looks like the .svg ‘Use Surface’ option should be renamed to “project to surface” as the ability to add a logo to a mug is best done as a projection so as to keep the logo looking correct when looking at the mug. wrapping a logo would make the sides of the logo appear to be squished in at each side.
I think Bambu Labs needs to add an additional checkbox on these dialogs for ‘wrap image to object’ so that the image is just laid down on the surface instead of projecting the image to the surface.
In the meantime, I’m stuck. I can’t get this graphic added to the cylinder so that the dots along the top edge match up with the holes in the cylinder to ensure proper orientation.
maxim3D, I like the idea of breaking down the .svg into smaller pieces, and I may have to resort to doing that, but all the parts are on the same .svg file because it sets the correct positioning of the arrows when you align the dots at the top of the .svg with the mounting holes on the .stl file.
I tried importing the .stl file into Fusion360, but I couldn’t figure out where to go from there. Fusion didn’t see it as an object that I could work with. I’m a noob at Fusion. It’s probably easy to do, but after many hours of youtube videos I still can’t figure out how to make a 2 part object consisting of the cylinder.stl and the graphics.svg so I could export it either as two .stl files that I can import into BS as a single two part object. Or, export as a .step file that i can import into BS.
I’m open to suggestions if anyone has any…
Is there anyone else out there who is making the CURTA calculator who has solved this issue who might want to donate their .3mf file of these two parts set up to print with an AMS?
Having this same issue. It should really wrap like the text wrapping functions rather than project.

Yeah I’m having same problem can no get it to wrap 
Same issue, when I select wrap it does nothing. Svg is laying on the stl. Anyone get a fix for this.
