That’s not your extruder mate, that’s the toolhead trying to move but it can’t, so the X/Y stepper(s) are singing a song of unhappiness.
Did you home before trying to do whatever you’re doing? If the printer is turned off, can you freely move the toolhead?
Thanks for responding, but I’m 99% sure that isn’t the issue. I’ve been 3D printing since 2013, not that I’m an expert. I’ve been one of the lucky ones and rarely have had any issues with any printer, Robo R1, Ender, Prusa, or the X1C or P2S. So I don’t have a vast troubleshooting past. I checked for a clog, and there wasn’t one, so I was trying to do a TEST print. As you can see in the video, it is extruding Bambu PLA, but I didn’t show how it goes through the calabration and starts the print. It eventually aborts the print with an error message. I didn’t want to upload a lengthy video, so I was just trying to show the noise. To me, there is something wrong with the extruder, or AMS and not the printhead.
I don’t disagree the extruder is making that noise, but generally the clicks are about 5x less the tempo of this.
Perhaps there’s a piece of filament broken, binding in the ridges of the extruder gear itself?
Either way, looks like it’s time to take it apart and inspect the gear / motor.
