I’ve also had issues with PLA-CF. One fantastic initial print of some desk organizing containers and then trouble, trouble, trouble, with spaghetti, etc. Just cleaned out my extruder and will try again with one specific additional step that JonRaymond notes—I will use my AMS 2 to dry my filament before printing. I don’t have high humidity and keep it stored secured with excess desiccant, but will still dry before printing. We will see if that helps. I hope so, because I love the feel of the PLA-CF.
Camfor—Is your understanding of the issue that there is under-extrusion? That would make sense to me… machine thinks it is putting out more filament than it actually is because of the partial clog.
Yes. I’ve had this where everything appears OK but isn’t.
I manually set the temp to, say, 250C, then push the cleaning rod up into the extrusion nozzle. Back’n’forth a bit. Any debris should come out when you pull the rod out.
