error 0300-0200-0001-0007 150821 after replacing hotend on my printer i am now getting this message … checked the plugs and checked the heatsink and the 2 black wires going into the hotend …they appear fine … any suggestions?
You may have accidentally pulled out the thermistor from the hotend, which would trigger this error. To verify, you’ll need to disassemble the hotend and inspect it. It’s the small sensor inserted into the hole in the hotend block. Make sure it’s properly seated and has thermal grease applied as well.
Alternatively, the thermistor might not be properly connected to the mainboard. Double-check the connection and ensure it’s securely plugged into the correct port on the board.
I had something similar on my P1S after replacing the hotend. I did not get one of the connectors seated properly in the head. I think connectors are different on the X1C but it is worth a shot to check by disconnecting and reconnecting (with the machine power OFF, of course).
You may try a power cycle and/or run some auto check up to discard if it’s a bug.
If the error persists the leading causes according to BL are:
“1. A short circuit has occurred at the heater’s connector or wires
2. The heater is broken
3. The TH board is broken”
Follow the troubleshooting to identify the cause:
The nozzle temperature is abnormal → X1 Series Troubleshooting
Replaced temperature sensor wire …fixed problem…thanks
At the risk of insulting your troubleshooting abilities, did you put thermal grease or just grease on the hot end? I accidentally did that because my brain saw “grease” and didn’t register there could be anything other than thermal grease in existence at that moment.
