Hi all during the last 3 days during a long print my x1c keeps shutting off [lose of power] then within a few seconds reboots and i have to resume the print. Never had this before and hoping someone can give me a starting point. I have been in front of the printer today and it just stops all power gone then 5-10 seconds rebooted Help. I have checked cable and plug and all seems ok.
Gently move the power cord where it plugs in to the back of the printer and see if it reboots. People have also said they could hear the sound of an intermittent connection if they get close to that spot and the room is quiet.
Inside that inlet the wires are held on using connectors that can work their way loose sometimes.

This is a good place to start and probably the best case scenario because it’s easy to fix.

Thanks for info i have tried to move the lead and switch to check for loose connection but all seems good have not removed switch yet to check terminals . I have raised a ticket and will keep investigating more, but its a strange symptom , the printer has run for the last 2hrs ok but it seems random when it does shutoff and comes back within a few seconds on its own.

I don’t know if this may help but I’ve been facing a similar issue because my power line suffered frequently of micro interruptions.
I don’t know if this could be related to the existence of a solar power system in my house.
Anyway, I fixed it by installing a 2KVA UPS/stabilizer.
I haven’t had more issues after that …
Its a weird fault as for 2 days during 3 day print it shut down and rebooted randomly 4 maybe 5 times and within a few seconds rebooted, in the last 24hr it has run normaly and the print finished ok apart from som bannding layer marks form i assume it restarted during print. Im going to watch it more closely on next longer print and see what happens. Thanks for suggestions guys always learning at 66 years luv the hobby.

What is the room temperature?
Your problem sounds like a flakey power supply to me. If it gets hot enough, it shuts down. The load goes away when it does, so whatever just got too hot quickly cools off enough to work again, power switch is still on, so the power supply restarts and the machine reboots.
You can confirm this if you can make the room cooler, like leaving a window open, and the machine’s stability improves. Or alternately, crank the heat up and see if the machine fails more frequently.
