Both the X1C and the P1s have the power switch on the rear panel. I would like to request that the power switches be moved to the front panel below the glass door. I think there might be enough room for a simple push on-push off type switch. If not, then the right side panel near the front would also be a better place then the rear panel.
Barring that, is it OK to turn these printers on by leaving the power switch in the on position, and just switching the wall outlet? I almost have to move the printers every time I turn them on, because of their locations -
I’ve been doing that since august last year with my P1S. Have it hooked up to a smart plug, no problems thus far.

I doubt this is feasible given that the switch and the power supply are the same unit inside the printer just like a computer and thus the wiring from there is dictated by components and such on the backside of the printer.
You should be ok to use anything like a surge protector or other device rated of course for the use with a remote switch and leave the printers power on.
Is that a fuse I see just above the red switch? Also, is this view from the bottom of the printer, and, is this an X1C? does the switch assembly connect to (I think ) the power supply being held in your hand, or does it connect to that terminal board above with the brown, blue, and green wire?
The view is from the rear of an X1C, and there is a 6 amp fuse between the red switch and the power cord socket.
The pictures are from the Wiki pages describing replacement of the power supply and the power switch, which also show where the wires connect.

having it on the back is extremely inconvenient.
A plug-in wireless remote outlet (“smart plug”) with the remote stuck on the front of the printer serves me well and was cheap and easy.

What is the use case where you need to turn your printer on and off so much that a front switch would make a meaningful difference?
I know you weren’t asking me but for me it isn’t so much “how often” but for convenience. The way my stuff is arranged it is difficult to reach around behind the machine. I don’t turn it off but the power company helpfully turns it off for me frequently.

Not easily; neither the top switch nor the wiring to the switch can carry sufficient power, so it could only be used to activate a relay.
Consider using a switched power strip in a more convenient location or a smart plug.
I never had a problem with the rear switch; that side of the printer is easily accessible, and my hand has learned to find it without looking. However, I’ve found that using a smart plug that I can operate remotely is very convenient. Most of my design work is done in my office, which is about fifty steps from the shop printer. Being able to power on/off, preheat the chamber, or start warming the nozzle for a filament change without leaving my desk saves a lot of time.

It would still be nice if Bambu moved the power switch to the front.
Mine is rarely switched off, but if you want to receive beta updates, it helps to do a regular power cycle.
Luckily I have the H2D Laser version (sorry off-topic), and that comes with an emergency switch. That is already at a more convenient location on the right side near the front in case I switch it off and on.
