Hi, I printed out this panel and in one section. I believe it’s the far left corner when you’re looking into the X1C where the printing issue occurs. I’ve only been printing for a little over a month and am not sure where to begin to fix this issue. Thanks.
Welcome to the forum.
Your part is warping off of the build plate and this is what is causing the poor surface finish in that corner.
Thank you very much. That’s definitely the problem. I looked at it after reading your reply and I could see the slight lift of that corner. Could it be caused by differences in heating of the print bed? Would ears or a brim fix the lift? This a fantastic hobby that I’m enjoying learning more and more as I keep printing. Thanks again!
It can be but Bambu’s have pretty decently heated beds. More often it is caused by contaminants such as oils from your hands on the bed or a draft/breeze in that corner.
Yes these can definitely help. What filament and bed type are you using?
Other large prints have been working well, so I would agree that it’s most likely not the heating of the bed. I’ll clean the plate before the next printing. Right now I have the top propped open for venting as I’m using Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 and it’s the Bambu Textured PEI Plate. I could try closing the top and leaving the door cracked open to see if it’s a draft issue.
Thanks again.
