X1c Top surface quality issues

I am having quality problems with large surfaces on my X1c. I am using Overture Super PLA+, but the problem seems to generally happen. It doesn’t happen with top surfaces with smaller areas, but it happens on all models that have a large top surface area. I have several X1c machines, and they all have this same problem

Therefore, I don’t think the problem is related to:

  • My specific X1c machine 9because it happens on multiple machines.
  • My specific model (because it happens on all large models.)

I have all of the “quality” calibration settings on. The rest of the print is just fine.

I was getting similar results with a generic silk PLA. Once I ran through the Flow Rate Calibration, my top surface is nearly flawless now. I hope that works for you!
