I haven’t updated the firmware on the X1C, and I have been using Orca for about a year. All of a sudden, even though the X1C is set to PLA, on the read out in Orca that shows what is in each slot, no matter what I put in, it switches to ABS.
So when I send it to print, it won’t print because it’s trying to find a slot with PLA, but doesn’t think there are any.
Could this have something to do with forcing people to use the Bambu slicer, and updating the firmware?
I have recently read a bunch about LAN mode, and Bambu connect. Am I probably going to need to learn how to do all of that before I can get the printer printing again? Or is there confirmation that the X1PLUS firmware is still working for people?
Also, if I don’t update the firmware and run all prints through the BL slicer, am I not going to be able to remotely watch the camera to check on prints, or use the app on my phone?
This is really killing the “I’m buying this printer because it’s less hassle to use than the current printers I own.”
