Running an X1E with firmware 01.01.02.00 and looking to update.
According to the Wiki, I need to “upgrade to the helper firmware 01.01.50.02”, however no link is provided and searching for the firmware version has thus far been fruitless.
In our environment, OTA updates are not allowed, and updating offline requires a version that I have been unsuccessful at locating.
A link to the above mentioned helper firmware would be greatly appreciated.
They really should include the download location on the Wiki. You can find your firmware to download here: Firmware Download | Bambu Lab
Bambu’s consumer platforms generally expect users to support themselves, which is why this forum tends to be so active. Most other manufacturers provide direct, structured support from the start, and their forums tend to be quieter for that reason.
The X1E is the exception. From launch, it has been positioned as an enterprise-class product with a reseller-supported model, so customers are expected to work through their reseller or open a support ticket rather than rely on community troubleshooting. You may have better luck going that route.
As for the broader pattern, Bambu often treats issues as “good enough” once the printer can produce parts, even when users raise legitimate concerns that fall outside that narrow definition of success.
While the printer is still functional, the desire to update stems from an error I received trying to manually load TPU.
I’ll open a ticket with Bambu Support and if I can get a link, I’ll add it here in the event someone else stumbles across this in the future.
