As the title says. I cannot remove the PTFE tube from the Aux extruder. I’ve pushed the tube in while pushing the black retainer and then pulling on the tube while holding the ring in and still can’t get it out. I’m currently printing a couple of the PTFE removal tools from Makerworld to see if they help
i have an x2d too, so this is relevant, one one side there is the little black ring, and you have to disassemble the aux extruder box in order to release it, but on the other side of the aux extruder there is a nut that you must loosen with the wrench that came with your printer, once that is undone the ptfe on that same side as the nut just pulls out. hope this helps! PS: we are probs in different time zones so sry if i reply at ungodly hours!
You should not have to disassemble anything to release the right tube of the aux feeder box. I have done several right nozzle cold pulls which require removal of that tube to feed in the filament. The PTFE tube just comes off once I press in the black ring.
As @CloggedJet mentioned, you shouldn’t have to disassemble anything. It is a bit tricky to do as you are performing 3 things: pushing that flat clamp to loosen it, then pushing in the ring, and then pulling the PTFE tube out. But this is all possible and gets easier once you get used to it.
@Scoutthebordercollie is referring probably to the toolhead itself which requires the wrench. The extruder outside the printer doesn’t require any tools though (only some dexterity and getting used to).
Mine will allso not come out. The black ring seems to already be pushed down with out me touching it and the PTFE tube wont budge. I do not want to force it but I also cannot push the black ring down any further to release it. Any advice, or am I just missing a step?
