Hallo, ich verzweifle gerade ein wenig. Bin Neuling mit BambuLab und X2D.
Folgende Situation:
Was mache ich falsch?

### Bambu Studio Version
2.7.1.57
### Where is the application from?
Bambu La… b GitHub releases
### OS version
Windows 10 Pro
### Additional system information
_No response_
### Printer
Bambu Labs H2C
### How to reproduce
1: Install filament on the side spool (in this specific case its tpu being fed through the TPU port VIA TPU Feed Assist module) but i dont think that matters.
2: set that filament at being installed on the side spool
3: try to print any file utilizing that filament
4: when assigning the filament to a nozzle you get an error message and does not allow mapping that filament to the nozzle.
### Actual results
error "external spools is not supported since Filament Track Switch has been installed. If you want to use external spools, please uninstall it"
### Expected results
be able to select the filament in the side spool regardless of the Filament Track Switch being installed.

feature
**Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.**
When a Filame… nt Track Switch is installed, Bambu Studio currently appears to assume that all AMS units and filament sources must be connected through the switch.
This prevents valid hybrid filament-routing configurations where some AMS units are connected to the Filament Track Switch, while another AMS or filament source is connected directly to a specific nozzle or filament path.
The physical routing of the printer may support such a setup, but the software does not currently allow the AMS connections to be configured accordingly. As a result, users cannot fully use independent filament paths that do not physically conflict.
This also affects related use cases such as:
using a TPU port or TPU Feed Assist path while the Filament Track Switch remains installed
using an external spool while the Filament Track Switch remains installed
connecting one AMS directly to a nozzle while other AMS units remain connected to the switch
using different AMS groups for different nozzles and material combinations
The software should not treat the Filament Track Switch as the exclusive source for every available filament path.
**Describe the solution you'd like**
Please add support for hybrid filament-routing topologies.
During the printer and AMS setup, users should be able to define whether a filament source is:
connected to the Filament Track Switch
connected directly to a specific nozzle or toolhead path
connected to a dedicated TPU port or TPU feed path
connected as an external or manual filament source
This physical source-to-path assignment should be stored as part of the printer and AMS configuration. It should not need to be configured again for every print job.
During slicing, Bambu Studio should use the stored hardware topology to determine which materials and AMS slots are available for each nozzle.
For AMS units connected through the Filament Track Switch, the slicer should determine the required switch position for the current print, as it already does today.
Directly connected AMS units or filament sources should remain assigned to their configured nozzle or filament path.
The software should validate actual routing conflicts for the selected print job instead of rejecting the complete topology simply because a Filament Track Switch and a direct filament path are both present.
This is not a request to feed one nozzle from multiple sources at the same time. It is a request to support physically valid setups where different sources can reach the same or different nozzles through separate configured paths.
**Describe alternatives you've considered**
One alternative is to connect all AMS units through the Filament Track Switch. However, this removes the advantages of a separate direct filament path and prevents some useful material combinations.
Another option is to manually disconnect and reconnect PTFE tubes, AMS units, the Filament Track Switch, or the TPU Feed Assist module whenever a different routing configuration is needed. This is inconvenient, error-prone, and unnecessary when the physical paths do not conflict.
Using external spool or TPU workflows as completely separate operating modes also does not solve the general problem. A TPU port, external spool, direct AMS connection, and Filament Track Switch should be able to coexist as parts of one configured hardware topology.
**Additional context**
The requested feature should be general and should not be limited to one specific printer model.
My own setup is an example of why this would be useful. I have an H2C with the Vortek system and would like to use the following topology:
one AMS 2 Pro connected directly to the right nozzle / Vortek path
one AMS 2 Pro connected to the Filament Track Switch
one AMS HT connected to the Filament Track Switch
This would enable several useful workflows.
Both AMS 2 Pro units could provide materials to the right nozzle / Vortek system when required: one through the direct connection and one through the Filament Track Switch.
When the AMS HT is used for TPU through the TPU outlet, TPU Feed Assist and TPU port to the right nozzle, the AMS 2 Pro connected to the Filament Track Switch could be routed to the left nozzle. This would enable combinations such as:
TPU + PLA
TPU + PETG
A particularly important advantage is the ability to create better support-interface workflows.
For example:
AMS 2 Pro connected to the Filament Track Switch:
PETG
ABS
AMS 2 Pro connected directly to the right nozzle / Vortek path:
PLA
support material for ABS
This would allow combinations such as ABS with a dedicated support-interface material. These workflows are limited or impossible when all AMS units are required to be connected through the Filament Track Switch.
This request is also related to the following existing requests:
#10328: “X2D: Add digital AMS / external spool override when Filament Track Switch is installed”
#10368: “Enable External/Manual Filament Input Routing via Filament Track Switch (FTS) on X2D”
#11007: “Loading TPU While a Filament Switch is installed.”
#11164: “unable to use external spool holder filament location with a filament trackswitch installed”
These requests describe related cases where users want to use a TPU port, TPU Feed Assist, manual filament path, or external spool while the Filament Track Switch remains connected.
Ideally, users should be able to use these direct filament paths without disconnecting the Filament Track Switch, unplugging the Feed Assist module, or physically changing the AMS connections.
The underlying requirement is a more flexible routing model in which Bambu Studio represents the printer’s actual physical filament paths instead of assuming that every filament source must be connected behind the Filament Track Switch.
