I just added a new AMS HT to my X2D printer, mapped to the auxiliary nozzle. I have an AMS 2 Pro mapped to the main nozzle. Whenever the AMS HT loads the filament, I can see the filament going all the way from the AMS HT and through the filament buffer to the extruder for the auxiliary nozzle, but it stops there, and the printer sends an error that it is unable to feed filament into the extruder. It attempts to reload several times before retracting and stopping. I get the error: “AMS-HT slot 1 assist motor is stalled due to excessive resistance in the tube between the filament buffer and the toolhead.”
I have verified that the AMS HT is mapped to the Aux nozzle. I am wondering if I have too sharp of a turn in the PTFE tube from the filament buffer to the aux extruder. The filament is a brand new spool of Bambu PLA metal that was dried for 12 hours before I attempted to print. The pic isn’t all that great but hopefully shows the connection well enough. Is there anything else I should be checking to get filament to load?
