My cherished A1-Mini has served me with distinction since June last year. Together we’ve done 1,700 hours. I had a failed print last week (see photo) which appeared to have shifted in the Y-Axis. I serviced the printer over the weekend and printed a similar (but not the same) model last night which had the same issue (see photo). Both models were designed by me in FreeCad and the first one had a successful print previously. The drawer is 180x180 and 45mm high. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on or how to fix it, please? I’m desperate.
Not sure if you solved it. Ive had similar y axis shifts. I’m 99% sure it’s caused by the weight of the print. After it gets heavy, the bed slinger type printer y axis stepper motor can’t handle the inertia. Try to right click the model on your build plate using bambu studio. Click height range modifier. Now look on the left menu. Choose speed then slow down by height. If you pick a height the model starts getting heavy, change acceleration at starting height and ending height.
I reviewed the model and reprinted which was successful so I had assumed there was an error in FreeCad. It turns out that the printer moves far more than I had realised during a busy print and I think the printer had backed itself against the wall which caused the problem. I changed my sparse infill from Grid to Gyroid which I suspect makes the printer move even more.
