Not sure is it a bug or some new rule on Makerworld, but if so, I just couldn’t find it anywhere. Long story short, I have a quite fresh model, released on 22.10.2025. Published with no problem. Then I got advice to make version with different fittings. So, it was done yesterday. Added Profile, STLs, added update with description. And my surprise, it got moved to FAILED section with message in topic right away.
Ok, sht happens. I did check all the text, recheck all the files. Couldn’t find anything. Then I did start to edit all added content by sections. Including files up to removing all of it. Still failed. Still Your content may include sensitive information and can’t be published.
Spent several hours trying to find out what can cause this. Had to remove original content (verified before) by sections, until I eventually found out.
SHOCK! Issue triggered this was two animated GIFs (each around 5mb) of model rotating on turntable in the original model’s description. Changing filenames give no result.
So had to remove them and replace with static images and this worked.
So, question is: Did I missed something and no more animated GIF in description can be used? Or maybe some other new rule here?
And other thing I would be happy to see is (if it is possible of course) to HIGHLIGHT a reason of Rejection (Verification FAILURE) if it happens. As Sometimes complex models have to have a large description and it is very hard and time consuming to find out where it is.
I often add gifs to the description, so I was interested in the problem you described. I just tried to add a model (with gif, around 3mb) and everything went smoothly as usual, no message was displayed
Might be a new bug in their system. I’m wondering if MW is trying to identify media, like your GIFs, and rejecting any model submissions that match those identifiers.
This is why I can’t understand what is wrong here, as I have models with gifs and see no problem. It wasn’t a problem on this model as well a week ago when I published it with them gifs. It was verified and all was perfect. Problem came out last night, when I tried to edit Description (adding some additional details in text). And strangest thing was/is, I’m getting same error even when I’m reverting everything back removing all added text and files. And even reuploading those gifs with same or changed names doesn’t help. Very strange, never faced this before
Hmm. Interesting. Just tried to upload both gifs here. Second one was rejected. As one I just uploaded is 4,95mb and second one 5.09mb. Forum allows pictures up to 5mb. At least got this message on second one. So I’m wondering probably same limit is on lately. Wasn’t an issue when I was posting models till last week
So this is triggering an algorithm that we’ve discussed before but still don’t really understand. Previously we thought it was blocking other filament companies but after some experiments we thought it was the length of the description in addition to certain words. Now with your gifs I’m thinking maybe it’s the total size of the description and not necessarily the text description?
Yes, it would be nice to have some official input on this issue. It seems to be another case where if they ignore it long enough people might just go away and stop bothering them. I like Bambu, I like MW, but I don’t like the lack of response to genuine issues that occur on a very regular basis.
Could be a newly-imposed and/or newly-enforced size limit on images/gifs in model description or the total size of the description itself.
Did you try to upload only one gif and see how it goes? Or try a gif less than 3mb as Crow_ck successfully did?
I am more and more inclined to believe that MW dev team doesn’t have a dedicated QA/testing environment and therefore test new features live on the production environment.
I’ve been running into a similar issue since yesterday. In my case, the fix was to remove all tables from the description, turns out even a single table with an empty cell can trigger the “Your content may include sensitive information and can’t be published. Please revise and try again.” error.
To get the updated models verified, I had to strip out every table from the description.
aha. Problem solved. Inserted both gifs into the description without the Table and it worked. So yes, Table is the Issue in this case. So that’s must be a bug since kind of update of Makerworld recently. That’s was one of last things I would suspect here O_o
There’s been a number of quiet updates and requirements implemented in the upload routine. Models can’t take too long to slice (but no word on how to know before uploading), the prime tower is broken and too many colors encroach on models and get denied uploads, There’s another one I hit on uploads also that was pretty esoteric and I forgot the details, but there have been unannounced changes to upload checks.
