Your current firmware version cannot start this print job. H2C

I have an H2C, latest firmware, AMS 2 Pro, latest firmware, and Bambu Studio, latest version and couldn’t start a print job until I downgraded my Bambu Studio to the previous version.

It probably shouldn’t happen that you have the latest firmware and software, and that causes your print not to start because they’re incompatible. I suspect it has something to do with printing TPU, as it was working fine with ABS and PLA.

I don’t mind using the previous version of Bambu studio, but I find it funny that when I launch it, it requests I upgrade to the latest version that doesn’t work. :wink:

Which TPU, Nozzle, Extruder?

Setup the way Bambu lab recommends. TPU on external spool holder to the right extruder. AMS switched to the left extruder with TPU for AMS in it.

Which OS are you on?

I have the same Issue. What I can do, is “ sending “ to the external storage and print from the storage…

I’m having the same issue trying to print TPU for AMS in my H2C. Not possible with the newest firmware and software.

It’s bad that issues like this not get fixed fast. Seems like the flagship printer H2C is Bambu Labs lowest priority.

I’ve just hit this issue using ‘AMS for TPU’ in an AMS HT connected to a 0.4mm nozzle in the left position on an H2C. Firmware in the H2C and version of Bambu studio are the latest standard versions. Only way around I’ve found is to put the sliced model on to a USB stick and plug that into the printer which then happily prints it.

Same issue here with an H2D Pro trying to print with TPU for AMS.

One “solution,” as mentioned in the OP, is to downgrade Studio to v.2.4. In v2.5 they added a check for printers which will eventually support printing TPU on the left nozzle (after a firmware update). What they neglected to do is make any exception for “TPU for AMS”. So the current versions (betas included) sees a “TPU” on the left nozzle and says “nope.” With v2.4 I can even send regular (soft) TPU to the left nozzle (not that I specifically recommend that, just sayin’).

2.4 is still my daily driver for my H2C and I’m not missing any of the new options or quirks. YMMV.

This was the easiest work-around I found. Instead of just printing directly from Studio to the H2C, “Send” it to the storage attached to the printer (obviously you need a thumb drive in the USB on the printer). Then do the unthinkable…..

Walk over to the printer and manually start a print!

With this I was able to use generic TPU 98A to print from the left nozzle (from a filament drier sitting on the bench next to the printer), after telling Studio it was TPU for AMS.
