Your experience with the Enhanced Cooling Fan?

Installed this today. I could be imagining it, but I seem to be getting a better quality ASA print immediately.

Hoping it will increase reliability and reduce filament issues in the toolhead (Breaking in the idlers/filament guide, clogging etc.) :crossed_fingers:

What’s you’re experience with the enhanced cooling fan?

I can assure you the quality has nothing to do with this fan because it doesn’t even turn on when printing ASA  :

If all filaments used have a softening temperature > 50 °C, the system considers no additional cooling necessary, and the fan will remain off.

lol, so I was imagining it! So it’s only for low temp filaments…interesting…

That’s quite interesting. I somehow thought this enhacement was meant for high temp prints - clearly not. lol

The problem it’s fixing is “heat creep”. The lower the glass transition temp of the plastic, the more susceptible it is to premature softening, which causes a jam.
