I need to ask for your help after spending several hours trying unsuccessfully to fix the problem.
A friend asked me which “easy-to-use printer” I would recommend to him. I said Bambu, and after 2 days and 3 successful prints, he has a problem that we just can’t fix. Damn
The problem is that the calibration almost always stops at 24%. Sometimes 28%, sometimes 32%.
The build plate wobbles a few times, then moves all the way up (even if it was previously moved all the way down), wobbles a bit there, then moves down and throws an error: 0300-4000 160628.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a Bambu printer myself and haven’t found a video showing what a successful calibration should look like. And whether you might be able to spot something here.
We’ve tried everything we’ve found on the internet:
We loosened the print bed, even though there was enough space at the back, and let it calibrate ‘loosely’ so that everything has some play.
We vacuumed everything and removed every little hair.
We checked the bearings in the corner of the heatbed to make sure they were flush.
We checked the set screws underneath the bed. We also adjusted them, as the bed was pressing against the nozzle when moving up. This was also a tip from support, we also already contacted.
I am completely at a loss. Perhaps you have an idea of what else I could try.
never mind, found the video. push it from the bottom up to the top. make sure the firmware is fully updated, try a new sd card, and make sure the nozzle is properly seated and not bent at all.
wow, I have the exact same problem, I had tried everything from online but still couldn’t solve it. The hotbed can move up all the way to the nozzle, then it just move downs again, wobble a bit, moves up and down again, failed after a few tries.
I clear the whole printer, did downgrade and factory reset, tried move the plate manually up, still the same issue
Also, ich kann dazu sagen, dass ich die selbe Herausforderung hatte, und bei mir lag es an den Schrauben (unten am Heizbett). Ich habe jetzt drei Tage alles gemacht, was im Wiki stand. Zum Schluss habe ich heute die Schrauben unter dem Heizbett angezogen (waren unterschiedlich festgeschraubt). Seitdem konnte ich fünf Bett Nivellierung machen ohne Fehler. Bin gespannt, ob es so bleibt. vielleicht kann dir das noch helfen, wenn du das Problem noch hast.
I have solved my problem…The bearing ( heatbed )on the right front Straight guider ( parallel to the dreaded one ) Z axis, came up ± 5Mm!! due to debri in the pit on the floor where the bed stops when totaly down…This debry ( in my case a nut m4 was lodged in there ( don’t ask me how…mystery)caused the heatbed guider bearing to pop-up the equivalent of the debry lodged in the pit…REPAIR. Clean thoroughly the void around the guiders on the floor.(use a powerfull vacuum cleaner.) If you can acces the top of the bearing, gently tap it back in.DO NOT TAP ON THE BEARING UNPROTECTED!!Use piece of wood on the bearing and strike gently with a light hammer.If you cant reach the top use a plier with cloth and gently clamp it from the underside , wiggle and pull it downwards…When the bearing is flat again (check both sides) home…and fully calibrate.Job done…Succes.!!

I had errors come up saying z axis & can’t level bed.
After many hours of checking belts, readjusting everything, cleaning, checking for obstructions, bends in carbon rod, stiffness in tool head, lose screws, broken or cracking in brackets & anything else I could think of.
I was just about to give up & just thought I would replaced my 0.4 nozzle & I found my nozzle was the issue.
The Nozzle had separated slightly from the cooling finned end making the extruding shaft end a little longer then it should be.
Plus side my printer has had it first major service.

I have a new Z AXIS issue. My P1S will not calibrate, The head moves to each corner, and stops in the middle, Nozzle clears itself properly, but when I try to print, or calibrate, the Hotbed wiggles ( as it does ( and then it heads down to the base , make a lot of noise lile its trying to dig a new hole through the bottom of the printer, stops, goes back up wiggles up and down a mm or so, and trys again, until it fails with a “Z axis homing failure” [0300-4000 170612] help!
I have had the same issue, I switched it all off and turned it on its side and a piece of printed filament fell out. It was lodged under the heat plate front of machine right hand side. I cleaned all the machine and stared a new print and got it working. hope this is of help
