I bought a A1 with AMS Lite in Early April as a gift, it seems to be that my printer’s Z Axis has not been working, I haven’t logged a ticket yet but will shortly. The thing is… I printed to see if something was wrong with the file as I didn’t see the error clearly, so I printed a default white Benchy boat just to see if it works fine or not, worked perfectly without an error or stop. But after I printed it and tried to see if it was fine, I get the " Z-Axis Failed Homing Message " and also I am unable to see the System/Assistant Message as it keeps disappearing since the print failed and after 3 times, here I am.
I’ve calibrated it but it fails due to the same Error Message, and it is making a weird sound…

When maintaining your printer you need to make sure to lubricate the Z Axis as that resolved my issue, it comes with your package when you first receive it.
Bambu Lab will send you a message to reccomend you to lubricate it but if you use it quite frequently I’d suggest once every 2-3 months.
If your printer is overally new, there may be a bit of lubricant on the Z Axis but not much.
I’m sorry but I’m a bit confused. I don’t see how simply adding lube is going to fix the error… although I’ve never lubricated my Z-axis either, so pardon my ignorance. I’m guessing there is a maintenance process or steps that you must follow to do this Z-axis maintenance (I assume via the printer screen/menu). Are you saying that when you followed these steps and completed the maintenance process, the error disappeared? Please give us a bit more info/details. Thank you kindly.
PS. Normally I would just try this myself and therefore possibly be able to answer my own question, lol, but my printer is currently 1 hour into a 13-hour print, so I can’t do that. So I just figured I’d ask you. Thanks again.
Understandable that you haven’t lubricated, I didn’t do it until later on, but this worked for me. Obviously it shouldn’t just be lubrication which I just didn’t do but that seemed to fix the major issue, always do some maintenance after application of the lube before printing again, it can take some time. If it still happens and and you lubricated the Z-Axis, I’ll leave some links to other forums that have had this issue.
